I haven’t shared a cocktail in a long time, and I don’t know about you, but after the week and a half I’ve had, I could sure use one mid-week.
This one is so delicious, and because pears are everywhere right now, it’s the perfect excuse to buy a few and whip up this cocktail. I’ve always been a big fan of St. Germain, and gin is one of my favorite liquors, so naturally, the two of them combined is a major flavor bomb. It’s bubbly and refreshing from the tonic water and then you get that great pear flavor from muddling them. Nothing is too overpowering which is why I love this drink.
Pear Gin Cocktails
1/2 pear, cut up into small chunks
1/4 cup elderflower liqueur
1/3 cup good quality gin
Ice
Tonic water
2 rosemary sprigs pierced through 2 pieces of pear, for garnish
In the bottom of a cocktail shaker, place the pear, elderflower liqueur, and gin. Muddle to get some of the pear to break up and release some of its juice. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain into two cocktail glasses and top with tonic water. Garnish with rosemary sprig and pear. Serve immediately.
This is absolutely stunning – I’m slightly in love with it! It sounds divine.
Oh, thank you!! That’s so nice of you to say 🙂
